Hello,

I have connected a Wavlink AC1200 2.4 / 5GHz WiFi antenna which I use as an outdoor access point, directly connected via RJ45 to my LiveBox 6 in the living room.

My iPhone doesn't seem to connect to the network with the best speed.
I have to manually switch networks outside by changing the WiFi settings on the phone.

Is there a way for me to always be automatically connected to the best WiFi?

My AC1200 repeater creates 2 external networks named Ext2.4GHz and Ext5GHz, would it be better for me to give them the same SSID as my LiveBox?

Basically, so that the WiFi from my LiveBox and the 2 networks from the Wavlink AC1200 have exactly the same SSID?

Thank you!

Hi,
yes, you should be able to set the same SSID name and key as the box, especially in access point mode.
You can also modify them on the box, by the way.
However, I recommend giving different SSID names to the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks so you can choose the best one when you want.
