Problem connecting to the wireless mobile hotspot

Hello,
Yesterday I noticed a problem with my PC, specifically with my internet connection. I am connected via Ethernet to my PC and have fiber (500 Mbps), and I used to share my internet connection with my phone and laptop since my router is far from my bedroom and the signal is weak.
But since yesterday, I have a new issue. When I turn on the "mobile hotspot" feature to share my connection with my phone and try to access a website, it says "this site is unreachable" (Opera browser). The same happens with Google Chrome and video games (I'm not 100% sure about the video games).
And when I turn off the mobile hotspot, everything works normally.
I have tried many things, like checking the firewall, testing for connection issues in the command prompt with the "ping" command by sending a request to a website, and everything works well. I have updated the drivers for my network adapters, reset the network settings, and it still doesn't work.
If someone could provide a solution and help me, I would be infinitely grateful.

    Hello,

A Windows 11 update is causing an issue with connection sharing. In the Microsoft support documentation, it states that "After installing KB5014697, Windows devices may not be able to use the Wi-Fi hotspot feature. When attempting to use the hotspot feature, the host device may lose its Internet connection after a client device connects."

      Hi,
      I love the bypass:
Cutting off the access point ...
They don't even offer to uninstall the update KB5014697 ....

but afterwards it would also be necessary to explain how to block an update that will reinstall itself...

note that this also concerns Windows 10

      Hello,

I have this problem, but when I check for updates on my end, I don't have KB5014697 installed. What should I do in this case, please? Thank you.

If you are on Windows 10, you need to wait for the Microsoft patch via Windows Update.

If you are on Windows 11, a patch is available via Windows Update.

    Also,
It reminds me of this discussion a few days ago, I see pretty much the same problem, don't I?
In any case, I had started a test (only started because my VPN server was down) and it was causing roughly the same thing:
The ICS sharing that was blocking the connection, since the other one did not come back, I moved on to something else.

Is it when you log into a site via your PC that it doesn't work? Or on your phone?

It's when I log into a site from my PC that I have issues; everything works fine on my phone.

I managed to uninstall the update that was blocking this and everything is working again.
To do this, go to Windows Update > View update history > at the top there is Uninstall updates > and you look for the update KB5014697... and uninstall it.

Thank you, but anyway, I managed to uninstall the update because the patch wasn't very clear.
