Hello,

I found my old VHS V447F VCR; TOSHIBA and I would like to watch my VHS tapes on my THOMSON 65UZ6096 television. Is this possible and how can I connect it, knowing that it does not have a SCART socket?

Configuration: Windows / Edge 100.0.1185.29

    Hello,

Your TV does have analog audio/video inputs; these are located on the back with green, red, and blue RCA connectors for video and white and red for audio.
    Buy this adapter:
Set it to OUT and connect it to the SCART output of your VCR:
    Then use RCA cables:
Connect it to the SCART adapter
    And to the TV:
The yellow to the green (or green/yellow) input of the TV
The red and white to the audio inputs

And make sure to switch to the corresponding input on the TV

      Hi Andy!
Our friend doesn't have a SCART socket on his scope!

      Hello,
Our friend means that his TV doesn't have a SCART socket and I don't know of a video recorder that doesn't have one.

I understood that it's the television that doesn't have a SCART connector

      we'll let PFCOPA decide ;-)

      Hello,

I would like to view my VHS tapes on my THOMSON 65UZ6096 television, is it possible and how can I connect it, knowing that it doesn't have a scart socket!

      It's the television that doesn't have a scart socket…

To my knowledge, a VCR without a scart socket does not exist.

TOSHIBA V447F VCR + REMOTE WORKS PERFECTLY WITH POWER SUPPLY + REMOTE CONTROL + scart cable PAL SECAM NTSC 4 HEADS

YES, indeed my THOMSON 65UZ6096 television does not have a SCART socket; but it has several HDMI ports. I just bought a SCART/HDMI converter from Amazon to connect everything.
Actually, I only want to play my old VHS tapes; but I don't know what to do to set everything up.
      Thank you for your help

    Hello,

It's based on the existing inputs on your TV. For example, if there’s an HDMI input, you can use a Peritel to HDMI converter. Here’s an example of an adapter: https://www.amazon.fr/Tihokile-Adaptateur-Convertisseur-Conversion-Compatible/dp/B099PM8KYN/

Thank you for your response (super quick), yes I think I will buy this adapter, I'll see afterwards!
In fact, I was pleasantly surprised this morning to find this VCR in a corner of one of my closets, it turns out that I wanted to acquire one online to read my collection of VHS tapes, if I can get this one to work it will be nothing but pleasure.
Thank you again, and maybe see you very soon
