How to read a Seagate Barracuda hard drive

Hello everyone!

I'm posting here because I'm really not very good with computers. I just got my hands on an old PC (Packard Bell OneTwo LD7123) and it won't turn on anymore. I'd like to recover my photos and documents.

I managed to get the hard drive out (well, I suppose it's the hard drive) but I only have a small hard drive reader, so it doesn't fit at all.

I wanted to know if it's possible to recover my photos and how to do it?

Thank you in advance!!

    Hello
There are enclosures into which you insert the hard drive, allowing you to connect this hard drive via USB to another computer and access its files.
The best option is to take the hard drive to a computer store so that a suitable enclosure can be suggested, as there are different formats. An enclosure doesn't cost much, around €20 to €30.

Okay, that's great, however I absolutely have no idea what SATA means, so I won't be able to tell you!
    Thank you.

      Hello
WARNING this cable is not suitable for a 3.5 "disk
      because it requires additional power
provide a photo of the disk (connection side)

      it's a 3.5" SATA disk
so you need a cable with additional power supply
      example :

Ps: if you have a desktop PC (tower) you can connect it directly

    Hello,

If it's too big, it is probably, to be verified, a hard drive for a desktop and also likely in SATA format.

If that's the case, you don't even need an enclosure, a USB adapter for just a few euros will suffice.
