I am looking to digitize my Hi8 tapes to my PC, but when I read the comments on acquisition keys or boxes, it discourages me. I feel like it doesn’t work.
Is there anyone who knows this process well and can advise me on the right equipment to make this transfer via camcorder?
Is Dazzle Video good? Is it the best?
Or is there something better?
Thank you very much.

hello Andy, by the way, I also confirm that we recommend the software we use.
Hello
just a clarification that might be useful:
The PC I have is:
Lenovo Thinkpad R400: Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8400 @ 2.26GHz 2.27 GHz, RAM: 3 gigas
is that sufficient?

Hello, it's the box that does the conversion work. You will already have your files readable on your hard drive. However, to use the editing software provided, you'll still need to have free space on your hard drive and free RAM.
