Hello,
I created a document and, in order to highlight my titles, I used large bullet points that I had to shift down to align them with the text.
My problem is that my automatic table of contents picks up the bullets by altering their size and placing them much lower than the text, which creates a disastrous effect.
Is there a way to remove or modify the bullets in the table of contents without changing those in my document?
Thank you and I wish you a lovely week.
Best regards
Configuration: Macintosh / Firefox 96.0

Hello,
On Mac, it's always a bit complicated.
For Windows, you need to check that the bullet points are part of the heading style, and especially that they are not added manually. If they are manually added, they will automatically show up in the table of contents.

Good evening,
So I always respond for Windows... Not sure if it's the same thing for Mac.
The summary is governed by the table of contents styles and not by the title styles. Therefore, you need to check the TM1, TM2 styles, etc., and, if necessary, remove the bullets.

Good evening Marina,
Despite your advice, I wasn't able to succeed.
In fact, in the summary, the bullets appear as "manual." I can remove them one by one, but that forces me to start over with each new modification... and since this is an evolving collaborative document, it's very problematic...
Thank you again for your responses.

Yes, but have you checked the table of contents styles (TM1, TM2, etc.)?

Yes, that’s what surprised me. The bullets do not appear in the page styles. So it’s impossible to remove them this way…
Have a good day
