Hello, I broke a small capacitor located near the PCI Express connector; there were 4 aligned and it was the top one that came off. I would like to know if I risk any harmful effects for my motherboard or not. Thank you in advance for your answers.
My motherboard:
Asrock B460 Steel Legend Intel B460 LGA 1200 ATX

Hello,
A component is rarely there just to look nice... At best, a particular function may stop working (if you're talking about the group of 5 golden capacitors at the bottom left, I believe they are the ones on the integrated sound card), and in the worst case, the whole board might fail...
It can be replaced, but you need to be equipped and experienced...
Best regards. -

Hi
We would need a photo because I don't see 4 capacitors near the pciexpress of this model on the Asrock website.
In any case, yes, having one capacitor less will necessarily lead to consequences.
