Hello,
I recently installed fiber and received a Livebox E340.
I had a Gigaset E370A phone (2 handsets).
After pairing the two handsets with the Livebox E340, a part of the menu strangely disappeared from the Gigaset handsets (no more call log, problems with ringtone selection, and the ability to block calls has disappeared). For no reason, just after pairing.
I thought it was too old to be properly paired, and since I had planned to buy another one, that's exactly what I just did.
Yesterday I received an Alcatel F530 Voice Trio - Cordless phone:
https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B074W9LN2B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's great, 3 handsets, 10 ringtones, VIP ringtones, call blocking.
All excited, I pair the 1st handset:
The horror!! :
On the menu that had 8 options, there are only two left: Handset settings and pairing.
Everything else has disappeared (Directory, etc., etc.).
Moreover, very strangely, even though you can call from this handset, the handset itself does not ring when you call it (even though it receives the call), even with the configured ringtone and its volume.
I tried pairing with the 2nd handset, same result.
So it's the pairing with the Livebox E340 that messed up the configuration of the Gigaset, and now of this Alcatel.
Has anyone ever had this problem and knows why this happens please?
And how to solve this problem please?
Thank you for your help,
I can't find anything on the internet about this...

Hello,
Associating a DECT handset with a Livebox means losing the functions associated with the base of the handsets
Among other things, the answering machine function.
If you want to regain the functionalities of your handsets, the only solution is:
1) to disconnect it from the Livebox
https://assistance.orange.fr/telephone/telephone-par-internet/toutes-les-livebox/installer-et-utiliser/associer-le-telephone-a-la-livebox/telephone-hd-supprimer-l-association-a-la-livebox-4_219543-762315
2) reconnect the base to the Livebox with a telephone cable
3) to re-associate them to their base.
See their manual.
Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there...
