Unable to make calls with my Gigaset C620 A landline phone

Hello,
I have a Gigaset C620 A landline phone.
I can receive calls, but I can no longer make calls.
Bouygues is telling me that since 28/12/21 I need to change the prefix to *1651
But I don’t know where to do that. There isn’t enough space in the network section.
Thank you for your help as I am very troubled.

Thank you very much for your help. In the meantime, I received a message from Gigaset's customer service that allowed me to resolve the issue. I am forwarding it here in the hope that it may be useful later.

We thank you for your interest in Gigaset products.

If we understand correctly, you are unable to make calls with your C620A phone.

We suggest you reset the base by following the procedure:

Remove the handset from the base (the support where you connected the telephone cable).
Unplug the power cable from the base.
Press and hold the paging/register button located on your base.
While holding down the button, reconnect your power cable.
After 5 seconds, release the paging/register button.

The answering machine's memory will be cleared, the PIN code reset, and the handsets will be deregistered after this procedure. Place the handset back on the base for it to re-register.

The Registration button is the only button present on bases without an answering machine. On phones with a built-in answering machine, the Registration button is the one resembling a loudspeaker.

If the registration does not occur automatically, we are sending you the procedure for manual registration:

On the handset:
Enter the Menu
Settings (ok)
Handset (ok) / Registration (ok) / Register (ok)
Register handset (ok)
If it asks for the PIN code, it is by default 0000 (ok)

As soon as you put your handset in registration mode, you need to put the base into registration mode as well.

On the base:

Press and hold the Paging/register button on your base for 5 seconds.

We hope we have met your expectations and remain at your disposal for any further information.

Our customer service is available Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at 01 57 32 45 22 (local call rate) or by email via our website: www.gigaset.com/fr

Hello
The code *1651 at Bouygues is a code to dial in front of the number you want to call in "Hidden Caller ID" only for the current call.
It seems unrelated to your problem.

IF this C620A is connected to a box, reset it.
To do this, cut the power to the box for a minute, then turn it back on.

Thank you for your response, Baladur 13.
I have already unplugged and reconnected my box several times with no results.
Bouygues assures me that the technicians found nothing wrong but that since 28/12/2022, I need to enter a network prefix in the phone settings: *1651 for Bouygues, *3651 for Orange, etc.

But I can't find where to do this, and Bouygues is no longer responding to me. I have been waiting for exactly 25 minutes, when they don't cut off the call.
This is a disgrace!

Same response from Bouygues support, on June 12, 2022, I could no longer make calls from my landline. I only had the message that the number did not exist. Week after week, tickets were opened and then automatically closed by support, it's Orange's fault, and now it’s the phone's fault. My only question is Why (the cause) and By Whom? No response but support is suggesting I buy a new phone from Bouygues! I still don’t have a phone.

Since resetting the box did not help, try to:
Unplug the base of the phone completely (telephone cable and power supply).
Remove the batteries from the handset(s) (if multi-handset model)
Wait a good minute
then reconnect, starting with the base and then the handset(s).
/!\ be careful with the battery polarities /!\

Thank you for the feedback.
And especially for the procedure provided by Gigaset.
It will certainly be useful for internet users facing the same type of issue.
Best wishes for 2022.

As already mentioned above
The code *1651 with Bouygues is a code to dial in front of the number you want to call in "Masked Call" only for the ongoing call.

This, once again, has nothing to do with your problem.
The technicians at Bouygues did not understand your issue
