Lenovo laptop charger explodes

Good evening,
I own a Lenovo B70-80 laptop and this has happened twice where my charger exploded.
The first time, I was using my laptop while it was charging and suddenly the cable exploded with sparks. I discovered a small hole in the cable right after that.
I then decided to buy a new charger, which I ordered from Amazon. I received it without any issues and everything was working normally until today. I had plugged my laptop in to charge, and when I returned, I noticed it wasn't charging. I tried moving the cable, changing the outlet, but nothing worked. Then I heard crackling sounds followed by several red sparks and once again a hole in the cable.
I don't understand why the charger keeps exploding. I don't overload the laptop and unplug it whenever necessary. I really don't know much about this so I would appreciate your help please; I would prefer not to have to buy a third charger again.
Thank you in advance,
Have a good evening.

    Hello Mimosa,

you need to be very careful about the voltage and the intensity of the chargers.

It must be suited to the demand (battery and/or computer).

For your computer, you'll need this model (example), or if by chance you can't afford this model, you must adhere to the voltage (the most important) of 20V, and an amperage of 2.5 A. The latter can be higher, that's not a problem; the computer will only use the required 2.5 A.

    Good luck.

      Good evening,
Thank you very much for your response. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford the one indicated in the link, but I bought another one. I checked, and the voltage is indeed 20V, but the amperage is 3.25 A. For now, everything is working well.
Thanks again and have a good evening ^^

        Thank you for your response,

a higher amperage has no impact since at this point the computer will only take what it needs, 2.5 A out of the 3.25 A available.

The most important thing for the power supply was to not have a voltage higher... while a lower voltage would have never turned the computer on.

If, for you, the issue is resolved, please click the green button.

        Have a good evening.

    Hello,
You need to buy an original charger (same brand as the laptop) and not a generic one.
