Hello,
I’m trying to add a new video element to my timeline, but the screen turns black when I add it.
I tried reducing its opacity to see if it was just a scaling issue, but nothing works: the screen remains black in the section it occupies and only becomes visible again when I remove it.
I attempted to replace it with another element, and the problem persists. I also can’t render because an error message pops up:
"Error during film compilation.
Accelerated rendering error
Unable to generate the image.
[...] Error code: -1609629690"
How can I continue adding elements to my timeline so I can finish my project?
Thank you,
Diane

Hello, before we get started to find out the why and how, since editing with Adobe requires a good PC, please provide us with the specifications of your PC and your version of Adobe Premiere Pro, as well as the origin of your clips or elements and their formats.

I have Adobe Premiere 2019 and regarding the elements: videos in MOV and MP4 formats, JPGs, PNGs, and WAVs
They come either from my personal documents, from the Envato site, or from screenshots that I took.
The problem started last night when I tried to integrate this cube: https://elements.envato.com/fr/black-cube-GFCRUG2
Since then, the problem extends whenever I make a modification. I've never had this issue before; I found a workaround by ensuring the preview is handled by the Mercury Playback Engine only, but it's really not practical.
Hello, your config is not at fault nor the files of course I think you are working on your project on an SSD
I don’t have a rabbit to pull out of a hat!
If I were in your shoes, I would test the software with another generic project and if it’s positive
to redo the project without integrating the cube

The problem doesn't only come from the cube since no matter what I add, the preview screen turns black and I can't render to bypass possible display bugs.
I came across this site, but I must admit I don't understand everything: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/render-error-code-1609629690/m-p/10394931?profile_language=fr
