Audio/Video Sync Issues Adobe Premiere Pro Cs5

Hello,
when I import a video shot with my webcam into Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, a sound/image lag occurs. What's strange is that the original video has no lag.
This is not due to my setup; it's quite powerful. And even, the lag is present even in the preview. It's quite frustrating, and for now, the only solution I've found is to slightly speed up my audio track (100.05%). It's like holding a muffler with a piece of tape.
Has anyone else ever experienced this issue?
Thanks in advance!
Config: i7 3770 / GTX 570 / 14GB RAM / 1TB 7200rpm Hard Drive
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 27.0.1453.110

Adobe Premiere does indeed have a problem synchronizing audio and video tracks for the MP4 format at certain frame rates (for example: 120fps).
So I found a very simple trick:
Change the extension of your .mp4 file to .mov (Windows will warn you that the file may become unusable) click "yes"
and that's it, no more audio/video desynchronization ;)

By changing to .mov, Premiere Pro does not recognize the video/audio stream.

Thank you, it's really simple, efficient, and great!! (I had at least a 10-minute delay on my 80-minute video.)

Thank you! Simple but how cool it is when it's in sync!

Thank you very much, surprising as a solution but it works!!!! And even in the reverse direction: I had the problem with .mov files, I changed pm4 and no more lag!!!! To think I spent dozens of hours trying to resynchronize!!!!1
Hello,
Mikaouel, I have exactly the same problem as you (except that I'm now using CS6). Have you found a solution since your post?
Your answer would be a great help to me! I'm stuck here :(

So I found a very simple little trick:
Change the extension of your .mp4 file to .avi (Windows warns you that the file might become unusable) click "yes"
and that's it, no more audio/video lag ;)

Hello,
I had this issue. For me, the problem didn't exist if I imported the footage directly from the camera into Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. However, if I cut the video beforehand with iPhoto, it would become unsynchronized. So now, I do all the editing in Adobe Premiere and avoid any processing beforehand.
Moreover, I read that the problem could also stem from the "constant frame/variable frame" setting; you need to choose "constant" to avoid sync issues. If this hasn't been done, the HandBrake software can be used for conversion.
