Westinghouse Smart TV Turns Off by Itself

Hello,

Since yesterday, my Westinghouse TV is turning off by itself after 15 seconds. Model wd40fw2610. However, there is no sleep mode or lock. I also tried a factory reset without success. Thank you for your help. Melanie

Hello gang, yes I’m from Quebec too and my problem happened for the first time on Thursday.
After 6 hours, I partially resolved my issue.
1-disconnect everything connected to your tv EXCEPT for the power supply.
2-turn on your tv
3-menu/settup/setting/factory reset/0000/yes
4-to check if the reset worked: when you turn the tv on again, you will see the W for a long time
5-tv open menu/settup/channel/air/scan
6-my tv stayed on, good sign
7-I connect the antenna or cable to the off tv
8-tv open menu/settup/channel/air or cable/scan
9-my tv is still on yess
10-I connect my chromecast to the off tv
11-tv open testing the chrome cast everything is fine
12-tv open I test NETFLIX which is integrated, I enter my Netflix password again
13-tv open menu/settup/network/choose my wifi network/password/connect successfully
14-BANG MY TV TURNS OFF BY ITSELF AFTER 15 SEC AFTER I PUT THE WIFI ON:(
15-if there's no wifi the tv does not turn off by itself anymore
there is where I am at gang!

Everything is clear now, I unplugged the WIFI at home and everything has returned to normal, the TV no longer turns off by itself.
I turned the WIFI back on and as of now, the TV is no longer turning off by itself.

I "upgraded" my modem's internet speed with the cable company and the TV problem appeared right away. So, do a "reset" of your WIFI and everything goes back to normal. Have a nice day Bob

A cable technician told me that Westinghouse probably made a firmware update for the TV but had a bug in their programming.
I unplugged (power) my TV and also unplugged (power) my router (WIFI) and I waited for 15 minutes, then I plugged (power) my TV back in, turned on the TV and checked it was working properly, and it was working very well. Fifteen minutes later, I plugged (power) my router (WIFI) back in and everything was working great. It’s been three days now and no problems.

I'm having the same problem on my end; since around December 4th, suddenly the TV shuts off by itself every 30-60 seconds... No matter what, I've tried the steps in the order that some have done... it temporarily fixes the problem and the TV stays on, but as soon as I turn off the TV, it has the same issue again and we have to unplug everything and restart the setup from the beginning... Really annoying!! Can we take action against them if they don't respond to fix a widespread issue with their television?!
