Hello,
I need to do a mail merge by filtering dates; my letter is in Word 2013, and I entered my database directly through the mail merge tab in Word, so it's in Access. I have columns for "start dates" and "end dates." For example, I need to send my letters only to the people whose end date is between 07/01/2021 and 08/31/2021. When I filter by date, the list is incorrect; in fact, there are clients whose end date is 09/30/2021 and others... I realized where the problem came from. If we disregard the various date separators (/, dots, or spaces) and only consider the numbers, it gives us 31082021, which is greater than 30092021. This explains why clients with the end date of 09/30/2021 appear in the results.
But I have no idea how to fix this issue????
You might tell me that I can create a table in Word or Excel, which works well except for the date setting. But my list is quite large and has already been entered in Access.
Could someone please advise me!!!
In any case, thank you very much.

Hello,
I assume that these "start dates" and "end dates" columns are actually fields in an Access table.
I also assume that these fields are of text type, and not of date type.
I didn't understand what method you were using to enter the values of these fields in Access.
I think we should get fields of date type in Access.
It might just be a matter of changing the type of the existing fields from text to date (be careful, you might lose the data in these fields if Access can't convert them to dates).
