Hello,
When I enter 01/01/30 in the date field of my Access database, after validation I get: 01/01/1930. Where is the problem?
Thank you.

    Good evening,

No problem, what would you like him to display??

    See you!

My field is named DateNais in Date format, abbreviated and with the input mask 00/00/0000;;_ to enter 2 digits for the day, 2 digits for the month, and the last 2 digits of the year.
When I enter 01/01/20, after validation I have 01/01/2020 (which is what I want). But if I enter 01/01/30 to get 01/01/2030, I instead get 01/01/1930. Between 2030 and 2039, with the format and input mask indicated above, Access or Excel gives 1930 instead of 2030.
I hope I have been clearer in describing my problem so that you can help me. Thank you.

If I understand correctly, you want to enter a date of birth that hasn't happened yet??!!
You’ll have to give me your crystal ball, it could come in handy for the Lottery :-)

Seriously, no need for the input mask, if you enter 01/01/20 it will give you 01/01/2020, if you want a date later than today’s date, you need to enter it in full 01/01/2030 (or change the system date, but that would be twisted).

    See you!

I spoke a little too quickly,

on Windows 7, Control Panel, Clock, Language and Region, Region and Language, change date format, additional settings, Date tab, bottom section "if a year is entered with 2 digits".... You adapt.

On Windows 10, it should be similar, I think.

    See you!

Forget the idea of a date of birth. Consider a projection 15 years ahead and try entering a date between 2030 and 2039 in Access or Excel with the indicated format and input mask, you will get 1930.
For example, enter 01/14/30 and you will receive 01/14/1930 instead of 01/14/2030.
    Thank you.

    No problem, it happens.
When I adapted it, it worked perfectly.
I thought it was a Windows bug.
Thank you very much and good night.

A priori, you probably didn't click on "resolved"...

After the previous response, I clicked on "Mark as resolved."
    What should I do?

I don’t know, I’ve never asked a question here, so I couldn’t mark it as resolved.

I reported it to the mods, they should respond.

It’s not a big deal, it’s just for any potential people who might be wondering the same question as you to see and read this topic if it’s marked as resolved.

      See you!
