Hello,
in Windows Explorer I have temporary files such as ~WRL0001.tmp or ~$abcdefghij....doc showing up, is there a way to hide these files?
I tried in the Control Panel/File Explorer Options: /View in Hidden files and folders to check "Don't show hidden files, folders, or drives" but it didn't work.
Can someone help me, thanks in advance.

    Hello
By definition, temporary files are... Temporary.

So either they remain in your system, often in dedicated folders (C:\Windows\Temp and also %Userprofile%\AppData\Local\Temp) that Windows 10 offers to delete in Settings, System, Storage, Temporary Files...

Or they are "outside" those dedicated folders and you can delete them manually or with a Batch file (removal of files starting with ~ wherever they are)...

But "hiding" them leaves them in place and they will end up overwhelming your machine...

    See you later

Hello. Not to my knowledge, but I don't see what the problem is. The temporary files are in system directories; they don't interfere at all.

Hello to all three of you,

Thank you very much for your responses, yes you are right, but my PC has just been restored so I suppose it is indeed the case that I am retrieving temporary files from many folders, I have already sent quite a few to the recycle bin, it's true that it clutters up Windows Explorer.
    Thanks again for your help.
    Best regards.
