30 GB of temporary files?

Good evening,

Noticing that my C system partition is half full, I wanted to do some cleaning.
I looked at the temporary files (in Settings and then Storage) and I see that it shows me 30.3 GB which is quite large.
I click to see the details and there I find that it only identifies 8.80 GB total to delete...

Can someone explain the reason to me? Why can't I delete the 30 GB?

Thank you.

    Hello,

To free up disk space, you can start with a Windows cleanup:
    Press Windows + R
    Type cleanmgr
    Perform the cleanup.

Then, follow this tutorial: how to free up disk space on Windows
From the link, use WindirStat to visualize what is taking up space abnormally and clean it accordingly.
Try to determine what is taking up space abnormally with WindirStat.

      Thank you for your response!

I just downloaded WindirStat and ran a scan on my C drive.

The size of the Windows 10 V 1903 folder seems normal to me (29GB).
However, in User, I see that the folder weighs 56GB... While browsing the hierarchy of this folder: My Name > AppData > Local > Temp, I notice two very large files. One is named "Photoshop Temp1333594027244" (15GB) and the other "Photoshop Temp1835275022776" (14.5GB). This corresponds well to the 30GB I saw in the temporary files.

Can I delete these files that have no extension? I should mention that my PC crashed earlier while I was using Photoshop. Perhaps these two files are there because of this crash?

        I don't know about Photoshop.
Close all applications and clean temporary files using cleanmgr.
