Hello,
this question is being asked of me:

Clémence wants to automatically calculate the prices of 30 products in three currencies.

She has already entered a calculation formula for the price of the first product in the first currency.

Please correct her formula so that when copied down and then to the right, it properly fills the entire table.

No need for the table; in short, there are prices in euros, and we have cells with the value of the US dollar compared to the euro, the GBP pound, and the AUD dollar.

The answer is =$C2*J$2, I understand how C2 and J2 work. But why is it not =C2*$J$2?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Hello.

The answer is =$C2*J$2 ... But why is it not =C2*$J$2?
:

To understand, just look at the meaning of the character $, which locks the coordinate (column or row) of the cell reference and prevents it from being adjusted when copied.
The cell M1 contains the formula =$C2*J$2.
When you copy M1 to the right to N1, it automatically becomes =$C2*K$2
When you copy M1 down to M2, it automatically becomes =$C3*J$3
The cell P1 contains the formula =C2*$J$2.
When you copy P1 to the right to Q1, it automatically becomes =D2*$J$2
When you copy P1 down to P2, it automatically becomes =C3*$J$2

To complete this mini-tutorial, also know that
The cell S1 contains the formula =C2*J2.
When you copy S1 to the right to T1, it automatically becomes =D2*J2
When you copy S1 down to S2, it automatically becomes =C3*J3
The cell V1 contains the formula =$C$2*$J$2.
When you copy V1 to the right to W1, it remains unchanged =$C$2*$J$2
When you copy V1 down to V2, it remains unchanged =$C$2*$J$2
