Transform SD Card into Internal Storage

Hello,

I have a Samsung J5 phone running Android 6.0.1, Model J500FN, and a 64GB Micro SD card.

One issue with the J5 is that the storage is low, and I would like to convert my external SD card into internal storage. I have watched quite a few tutorials, but I can't seem to succeed (Some tutorials say to format my SD card and select the Internal Storage option).

I am even willing to reset my phone!

    correct, card inserted, formatting by the phone (not Windows)

    be careful, subsequently removing the "internal" SD card will cause damage to the operating system

    it will be dynamically linked to the base card
