replace my useless freeplugs with 12V power supplies

Hello,   For me, the PLC has never worked, the server and player are 15 m apart, single-phase sockets, same meter. I decided to run an Ethernet cable by drilling through the concrete floor, the walls, and going through the basement (my wife refused the temporary cable that passes through several rooms). It works, but it's disappointing to see that an ISP like Free didn't manage to provide a WiFi connection. Well, my Free plugs are also blinking, they're heating up, they're consuming power, it's polluting. Once again, Free is not up to the mark: they didn't plan to replace basic power supplies with the plugs. That's what I did, 2 12v 3A power supplies, at my own expense, and it's resolved.  And what about this revolution box, poorly designed, with a display visible only from 30cm away, but it can't be turned off, a design that sucks which is hidden at the back of a closet, fortunately... but takes up three times too much space. I remind you that the primary aim of this forum is to provide assistance in the fields of computing and current technologies, not to offer a platform for all those disappointed with their ISP.  I will address a few points from your message.  - Powerline adapters should work under the conditions you mentioned. However, your electrical network may cause disturbances (power strips, uninterruptible power supplies, electrical devices, for example). Have you asked Free about this?  - What kind of interference do Freeplugs cause when the powerline function is inactive (RJ45 plugs unplugged)?  - The warming of the plugs is normal since the box operates continuously and consumes quite a bit of energy.  - How does the blinking of the Freeplugs disturb you?  - The Freebox Revolution is now an old design (over 10 years old). It consumes a lot of energy and the Player does not have Wi-Fi. It was probably not the best solution in 2011: we have to deal with it. The display has always been poor and is often unreadable: however, all functions are accessible via Freebox OS on the computer. This box is still praised by many users who do not find equivalent functions in newer models. You are one of the few who complain about it.  - The advice from kaumune to turn to more recent equipment is completely relevant.  But since you believe "Free is not up to the mark," I would advise you to switch ISPs and look for a provider that will charge you a lot for the slightest service: the more people pay, the less they criticize, because that would mean acknowledging they are being scammed. Hello, the first Freebox V5 with two boxes were also connected via Wi-Fi at the time. But the system was abandoned on the V6 (it was already phased out on the subsequent V5s) because the old Wi-Fi networks (B/G) were too limited. Today, with Wi-Fi 5/6 (ac/ax), Wi-Fi is indeed better than powerline adapters.  -- and ... There you go!
