The LG store icon is not appearing on my TV, which makes it impossible for me to install anything.
How can I install it since it should be available by default?

First of all, you haven't provided the model reference of your LG TV... So how can you know it's the same...? LG makes thousands of different models each year...
I can't tell you more, as these stories about apps on smart TVs are untrackable and it's not really a technical issue... I think it's more of an LG store that could answer your question... or the LG user forum
I can suggest that you copy the app you're interested in from your friend and install it at your place... For example, he must have a menu that allows for Backup... so you do that at his place, on a USB stick, and then go home to use the "Restore" function, and logically, your TV should become like his... read the procedure carefully, there's a way to do it.
