Hello,
I bought the Sony BDPS1700 Blu-ray player on Amazon on July 27th.
I used it twice and it worked perfectly.
I then went on vacation for 3 weeks and when I came back yesterday, the player displayed a small red light. I wanted to unplug it because I thought there was a malfunction. Unfortunately, it has been impossible to turn it back on since then. *This is very frustrating because in addition to not being able to enjoy this almost new product, I left my last disc inside.
I unplugged the power cord for 5 minutes, I held down the on/off button for 5 seconds, I tried a different outlet. But unfortunately, nothing seems to be working.
Are there any other steps I can take?
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 92.0.4515.159

Hello,
For internal CD/DVD/BRD drives that integrate into the PC, there is a small hole on the front... You can insert a straightened paperclip or a point (diam= 1 mm) and push.
This will allow you to open the drive and remove the disc inside... if nothing else works.
Did a storm hit your device during your absence...? Or something else...?
It should still be under warranty..

Thank you for the response. I will try to open it this way and indeed I believe I will have no other choice but to take it to an authorized center.
Thanks again.
Best regards,
