How long can a PS4 stay on?

Hello, I have a question about the PS4. The day before yesterday, I was playing at a friend's place who lives on the first floor, and I live on the third. I connected my controller to his console, played, and went home the next day. He left for vacation and wanting to play on my console, I pressed the PlayStation button on the controller to turn on my console, and the controller turned on but not my console. I remembered it was connected to my friend's PS4. Do you think my friend's PS4 turned on even with a two-story difference? And is it serious for a PS4 to stay on for a week? Thanks.

Hello,

By default, the PS4 goes into sleep mode after 20 minutes (unless your friend has changed this setting).

But rest assured, with two floors in between, there is very little chance you managed to turn it on... the controller has a range of about twenty meters without obstacles.
