if you don’t have the cd you do this and this will fix it
manually create the XLStart folder, proceed as follows:
1. Right-click on Start, then click Windows Explorer to open Windows Explorer.
2. In Windows Explorer, locate the folder that contains your installation of Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Office XP, or Microsoft Office 2000.
Office 2003 is installed in the following folder:
drive: \Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11
note drive is a placeholder for the drive where Office 2003 is installed.
Office XP is installed in the following folder:
drive: \Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10
note drive is a placeholder for the drive where Office XP is installed.
Office 2000 is installed in the following folder:
drive: \Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office
note drive is a placeholder for the drive where Office 2000 is installed.
3. Select the Office11, Office10, or Desktop folder, depending on the version of Office you are running. Click File, click New, then click Folder.
4. Type XLStart and press ENTER.
5. Close Windows Explorer and then try to start Excel again. -

Hello everyone,
it doesn’t work for me either
I can’t find a solution...
can we retrieve this file on another PC? (I also have a laptop)
If so, how to do it?
Thank you in advance
