Proplus ww.msi

Hello,
I am lost because I can no longer open Excel in Office 2007. Windows Installer message: proplusww.msi not found.
However, everything else (Word, PowerPoint...) works fine; I have tried reinstalling from the CD but proplus is still missing. Furthermore, it's impossible to uninstall!!! Proplus is still missing, what should I do??? Would formatting my disk be a good solution?

Go to settings, add and remove programs - on Microsoft Office XP go to modify - and follow the steps for the update and in principle Excel should open without any issues afterwards.
