You can no longer download on ODYSSEE. Solved

Question

Hello,
I posted on this site to explain how to download a video on ODYSSEE, which was quite simple.
However, for some time now, it has been impossible to download. It's blocked. You can no longer click on "save video as." It has become inactive.

Does anyone know how to download ODYSSEE for free?

After testing various browsers, it turns out that some videos can be downloaded via right-click and others cannot. I therefore think that it is the video creators who decide (through a setting in Odysee) whether they want to make the videos downloadable.

Nevertheless, downloading is always possible via youtube-dl.

I just did it right now, the video is well recorded, no issues to report.

Your computer must have a problem. Try doing a system restore.

Now that's a technician!! system restore!! aiaiaiiaiaiai!! LOL

Awdeline, I'm complaining here too, actually I just tried it with EDGE and the right-click download works.

Happy downloading! we have to keep certain videos....

AND ABOVE ALL! no system restore for that!

1 - Never said you were a technician! Just because you don't want to be one doesn't mean you are!

2 - System restore and reinstallation have nothing to do with each other.

3 - I'm giving ONE solution among perhaps others, sorry, you don't have EDGE on your list. Easier to mention only one that should work and is usually on all machines.

Now I'm going to explain why SYSTEM RESTORE does not help to fix this kind of problem, FOR ALL READERS who might misuse it.
When you perform a system restore, you revert the state of the registry to a previous date. Between the date you revert to and the day of the crash, a lot can happen on the machine. For example, updates, installed programs, system modifications, etc.
You revert to a version of the registry with, for example, files installed by an update that won't match, files will be present that have nothing to do on the disk, and lots of things like that. Hence, after a while, system crashes.
I'm simplifying my explanation as much as possible.
System restore does not always work, so do not rely on its reliability.
System restore is only meant to go back in a VERY short period. Generally, it is designed to revert just before the installation of what caused the problem.
It is therefore better for me to focus on the specific problem rather than messing everything up. It's like changing the car's engine for a faulty injector.
I know computing is complicated, and it's getting more so; I've been doing this for 30 years now. But you have to start with a surgical approach rather than using heavy-handed methods from the outset.
In this case, the problem might come from odysee rather than certain browsers; video download helper isn't working either.
Maybe it's intentional from odysee.
