Hello,
I have an old game from 2007 (Mission Equitation 2: On the Trail of the Appaloosas). When I tried to install the CD, I got an error message (I'm attaching the following photo; know that there are several different error messages).
Yet I played it two years ago without any problems. Is it no longer compatible?
I'm on W10 just like I was two years ago. Did an update mess everything up?
The most annoying part is that I sold the game in brand new duplicate to a customer on Vinted; I feel bad selling her an unplayable game. If I had known, I wouldn't have sold it. Poor thing should be happy to play it...
Thank you for your help!

Hello, the first thing the CD-ROM tries to do is connect to Mindscape EReg (a service that no longer exists) from an obsolete application included on the CD, which is why you see errors indicating that scripts could not be loaded.
However, Mindscape EReg is completely unnecessary, and you can install the game without going through this program.
To manually launch the actual installation program:
Right-click on the CD -> Open -> Look for an application named "Setup"
I don't have information on the exact location of the setup on this disc, but depending on the games, the setup may be found elsewhere, for instance in an "INSTALL" folder -> SETUP32.exe

I have the same problem but for another Mindscape game (C'est Pas Sorcier), but I don't have a file named Setup in the archive.
I'm trying to run it on Windows 10.
Could you help me?
Thank you in advance.
I had the same problem with "C'est pas sorcier: Mysterious Disappearance in the Amazon."
I was able to start it by launching the CPS application in the Media folder of the CD.
Thank you
I followed the advice to the letter, but I haven't had any more success than going through autorun.exe. I can't find a way to bypass the login attempt to Mindscape EReg. However, it is not essential for the game's proper functioning, so how can I access the game while bypassing Mindscape? If anyone has an idea, I would be very grateful!
I tried with the Autorun file and it worked.
