Hello,
I've been spending my evenings uninstalling and reinstalling my Sims 3 game for a week now!
Let me explain everything so that you can hopefully help me:
I have the original DVD of The Sims 3 purchased at its release in 2009
I'm on Windows 7
I've already tried all the solutions for the error "An error has occurred, please consult the log for more details, the game version is 0.0.0"
I've cleared my computer of The Sims using CCleaner and Revo Uninstaller.
I tried to update my game with update 1.24 successfully, but when I want to install The Sims 3 University and it requests an update, I accept it every time since there's no other choice to install the game. When I restart to finally play it, it shows "An error has occurred, please consult the log for more details"
I've tried everything knowing that I don't have the University CD, I burned it with Daemon Tools from a friend.
Does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance
P.S.: I don't have any other expansions.

    solution:

    BUY THE GAME!

ps: I have it .. and no: I don't, which means nothing.
    not? no ...
I'm not a genius with the Bescherelle, but there are limits.

      Good evening,

the best is to install The Sims 3 .. and leave the add-on aside

Install The Sims 3 correctly on a partition with more than 10GB, then launch the game once the installation is complete, and the updates done, using disc number 1."
