Philips TV won't turn on, flashes green quickly for hours.

Hello, I'm increasingly having trouble turning on my TV. When I switch it on, the screen remains black and a green light blinks quickly (faster than seconds) for hours. Sometimes, after unplugging and plugging it back in (I have to use a power strip because there is only one wall socket for the TV and the TNT box), it stops blinking, and then I can turn it on, but I only get sound and not always image: the screen stays dark and bluish. And sometimes, unplugging and plugging back in doesn't change anything: as soon as the power is back, the green light starts blinking again and nothing happens.
However, when it finally turns on correctly, it works for several days and nights in a row without any major issues.
What should I do?

Hello,
See a repairman for an estimate.

Power supply problem.
Straight to the trash!!!
It happened to me on an LG; between 5 and 8 years old!! -
First of all, it may be a problem of circuit overload, not sure, but it's worth trying this:
Unplug from the mains and short-circuit the two prongs of the socket with a wire, paperclip, etc.
Of course, do not plug it back in
Wait an hour, remove the wire or paperclip and plug it back in

Is it the extension cord or the TV that I need to "short-circuit"?
And if it's the extension cord, should I leave the TV and the TNT box plugged in or disconnect everything and then wrap the paperclip? -

I'm sorry, I understood that we had to wait an hour before plugging it back in but not necessarily leave the paperclip in place for an hour.
Thanks for the clarification. Now we just have to see if that fixes the issue. -
Well, unfortunately, this fix didn’t change anything: the TV keeps flickering for hours and when it finally stops, the screen is dark, there’s sound but no image.
To top it all off, the other two TVs in the house are also having issues: one has an image but no sound, and the last one has channels disappearing one by one: sometimes I no longer have channel 5, sometimes channel 2... so I did an automatic channel search, and while it fixed the issue the first time, channel 2 has disappeared again. So, I did the automatic channel search again and now it’s even worse: all the channels are in random order, and not only has channel 2 not reappeared but it’s not the only one missing.... :/ help!!!! -
Sorry for you...
Try to do a "reset" or "factory reset" or "initial setup" (see menu) but you will have to redo the entire installation and settings and don't forget to specify the country "France" and possibly check LCN (for Logical Channel Numbering) so that the channels are sorted according to CSA's order.

Did you reset it?
Check the coaxial connections, disconnect and reconnect them several times to eliminate any potential oxidation. If necessary, redo them properly, and be careful, even the slightest "hair" from the braid touching the copper core can mess things up...
The antenna may have moved as well...

I've thought about the antenna, given the wind that's making fools of us at the moment.
As for the rest, I haven't tried it yet, but I'm not sure I know how to go about it. I need to look into it more closely....
