Unable to tune channels on JVC TV

Hello,

I just bought a JVC 32" TV and I've been struggling with channel settings for several hours. Needles to say, I’m not really used to TVs.

Here’s what I'm doing: I press the SOURCE button on the remote to switch to DTV
Then, I go to MENU, select Channels, then auto-tune to find the channels automatically but in the end, I get nothing, just the message No signal on a blue screen.

Can someone please help me out?

Hello
a certain number of details are necessary for the volunteers
exact type of the TV
TNT, TNTsat, Fransat
type of decoder if applicable
etc.

  It's a LT-32FD100 model, according to the box and the manual, HD 31.5" TNT HD.

You will have a box and a decoder to receive TV, which you will connect to an HDMI input on your TV with an HDMI cable:

  I found a cable that might do the trick, but still nothing regarding channels.
  I connected one end to the TV and the other to the box, in the only place it could fit, the USB port.
  At worst, I'll go to customer service tomorrow and ask for some help.

So yes, the rabbit ear antennas still exist and have a long life ahead of them, are you sure you don't have a wall TV socket at home?

So without an antenna, it's impossible to pick up anything unless you use an ADSL box + decoder

No, there's no antenna connection at my place. It's a recent apartment equipped with fiber. So I'll have to connect it to my box, but I don't see which cable to connect.

Otherwise, sometimes receiving channels works well (when the signal is strong enough) with a portable antenna for TNT.
Personally, I get all the channels with this one (for example):
Amplification: 55dB

The bureaucrats, if we gave them the Sahara, in 5 years, they would have to buy sand elsewhere.

  Yes, possible but interior antennas only work close to and in direct line of sight of a transmitter, without obstacles... meaning that in 95% of cases, they don’t work... so buy only if you are sure of a possibility of return.

    I am 54 km from the Mont Pinçon transmitter and I am in a hollow with very high relief obstacles, so the reception is very satisfactory.
    On the link, the investment is €34.90 including tax, so I think it's worth trying given the amount.

  It seems to be just an HDMI issue. The only problem is that I don't see an input on my box. I'll check that tomorrow at an SFR agency.
  
  Thanks for all your tips, by the way. It's been 20 years since I had a television, and the switch to digital hasn't been that easy.

  I bought an HDMI cable but can't find anywhere to connect it on the TV box. Honestly, I'd prefer to return the TV to the store. I've been without a TV for twenty years, might as well keep it that way... But what a disappointment!
