System extension update "Dis Soft Ltd"

Hello,

As soon as I turn on my late 2018 iMac running Big Sur (11.2.3), a "Security & Privacy" message appears asking me: "A program has updated one or more system extensions signed by 'Disc Soft Ltd'. To complete the update, you must approve it in System Preferences > Security and Privacy."

However, when I go into Security and Privacy, I don't find anything named Disc Soft Ltd, no updates to complete, or anything like that.

Does anyone have an idea of how I could get rid of this alert message?

    Hello,

Indeed, I have also seen the same issue on this forum; they ultimately suggest calling the support for a free call...

I had to download DAEMON Tools a long time ago (it must have been 3-4 years ago on my old computer, which then migrated to my iMac that I am talking about) but I never received an alert of this kind...

      Hello,
Apple's security measures have been strengthened from version to version and, for example, during the installation or initial setup of an application, they increasingly require the acceptance of operations that affect the system, something that was not required before.
If this Daemon tools application is one that you have deliberately chosen and installed, then approve the system modifications made by Daemon tools.

    Hello,

Personally, I will not approve an app whose needs and functions do not seem clear to me.

On the contrary, I will conduct thorough research with EasyFind on the terms disc soft, to completely eliminate any trace of the thing.

    Best regards.

    PS: hi lychee ;)
