Hello,
Configuration: Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.8) / Safari 5.0.6
I’m unable to update my SAFARI software and, as a result, I cannot access certain sites such as AF, for example...
When I query "the Apple" (the system), I’m told that my software is up to date.
Can you help me, please?
Thank you.

This is not paradoxical: your version of Mac OS X is frankly old-fashioned. As a result, you cannot install a newer version of Safari than the one you already have.
If it is possible for you (depending on your machine and its RAM), install a newer version of Mac OS X (and the version of Safari that comes with it).

Hello to you at your place!
Bernard-
Thank you for this information, but I’m not a pro and I don’t know if I can install a newer version of Mac OS X, (where can I find information about RAM?/ memory), and how to install it if applicable.

First, I urge you to read this excerpt from the CCM charter
Because it’s not robots answering but simply humans who do what they can to help Mac users, and are therefore respectable.
Having made this clarification, you don’t say which OS X this MacBook runs, originally delivered with 10.5 and which, in any case, cannot go beyond 10.7.5 (Lion) which can still be purchased in the Apple store but, if 1 GB of memory, can allow 10.5 and 10.6 to run; under 10.7 you will need to add memory, the maximum being 4 GB, i.e. two 2 GB sticks of this type: 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMM
With that, this MacBook will survive for a while.
Best regards
