Ethernet disconnect

Last year, I had a gaming tower built for me. Since then, I've mainly played an FPS (Warzone). I've noticed a few times that the game would lag, while those I played with had no issues. Afterward, I noticed that I could randomly have internet cuts for about 4 to 10 seconds. So I started looking for the cause! I contacted my provider, who confirmed that there were no issues with the line. I reset the box, etc. I reformatted the computer, updated all possible components! Graphics card, network card, motherboard BIOS, etc. I changed the Ethernet cable. No change. The same Ethernet cable, I connected to an older tower and a laptop and I noticed no disconnections. What I noticed and can't understand is that when this same Ethernet cable is connected to my gaming PC and I move it a bit at the wall socket, I find that my connection drops frequently, but when the same cable is connected to the other PCs and I also move it a bit, there are no disconnections. Could you explain this?

The motherboard is an ASUS Strix Z 490 A Gaming

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
The Ethernet port of the gaming PC might be unstable or have a bad connection; open it up to check.

How can I make sure if it's a loose connection on the PC? Can I physically see if there's an issue?

Thank you for your response.

Hi,
the only way to see if it’s faulty is to slightly jiggle the connection; if it cuts out, it’s faulty.
Or invest directly in another network card.

Hello Fabi,

Do you have an answer to your issue? Because I'm experiencing the same thing at my place, random disconnection of the ethernet cable... However, I've noticed that it mainly happens when a video stream is being processed (connecting to a stream, starting a video on fb, etc.)

Let me know! :)
