Hello

I fell into a trap, I clicked on a Google search link that indicated a search on how to join da***

I got taken in
Am I at risk? A summons? A record?

I deleted my history out of fear

Please help me

    Your question isn't very clear... but from what I can gather, you might have clicked on a link related to an action that could be illegal... (?)

    It’s not just by clicking on something, even regarding a criminal act, that the authorities would be "activated"....

    Generally, it's more about habitual visits to certain sites that raise suspicions... (in connection with other elements....)

    Otherwise, anyone with a basic "curiosity" without intention could be subject to "prosecution"...

    Finally, deleting one’s history doesn’t change anything... if the authorities wanted to know more, they would have other means, whether through the provider or by "scanning the PC" after seizing it... but again, only in the context of an investigation based on something more substantial than a simple visit to a site, even a questionable one! ...

      Actually, it’s someone on a forum who posted a clickbait topic about a confirmed new lockdown

      I didn’t think and clicked on the link they posted, it redirected me to a Google search that basically asked “how to join a terrorist organization and carry out an att**”

      I immediately left the page and deleted my history

      It was a troll basically, but I’m worried about the repercussions, can they record my data and profile me right?

      On that forum, some claim to have been searched or received a summons at the police station after clicking on a similar link

      I know they like to lie so I’m confused, should I expect something?

      Once again, it is not "a click" even on an illegal site that is enough to trigger prosecution...

      If the site is monitored... they can of course record the IPs and question (upon requisition) the ISPs, in order to know the history... (a VPN, anyway, in many cases is useless....) ... They would quickly see if the individual case deserves more attention or not....

      Deleting the history on the PC does not help much...
