Hello,
I would like to turn my internal burner that I have into an external burner, so to transform it into an external burner. How can I do that? Thanks. I changed my case, which was too big for where I wanted to put it, and now I have lost my internal burner. Well, I still have it, but I would like to transform it so I can use it externally.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 89.0.4389.82

    Hi,

A case might cost as much as buying a better external drive.

I would recommend this model instead https://www.ebay.fr/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=LG+BP50NB40+&_sacat=0&LH_PrefLoc=2&_sop=15

    With the firmware HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BP50NB40-NB50-1.03-NM00800-212005070917.bin

Thank you, but I already have the equipment, a LG Blu-ray player, and I do not wish to buy another one.

        LG too,

        It does BDXL

Better than others for me, I've had bad surprises with another brand.

    Hello,

We need to check the type of connector? IDE, SATA? the type of power cable

    External enclosures like: https://www.conrad.fr/p/boitier-externe-pour-lecteurs-525-et-disques-durs-35-conrad-usb-30-416076
    https://www.grosbill.com/4-icy_box_boitier_externe_5_25_pour_lecteur_et_graveur_dvd_blu_ray-667553-informatique-_boitier_externe
seem to have become hard to find (we need to search for 5.25 enclosures)

or more expensive than buying a complete and thinner external USB drive for 20/25 euros.

PS: If you buy a DVD burner, get a new one, especially if you're in the United States.

Because there is a limit to changing the region code for DVD playback.

    Normally 5 times.

I don't want to buy one, I already have one that works very well but it's internal and I would like to know if I can find a case to put it externally and at what price, and if that is possible and exists.

    Hello.

The engraver is not an element that is frequently used on a PC. So it is sufficient to have something to connect it to the PC for the necessary time and then put it away afterward. I think to keep costs down, this connection should be sufficient:

It is for sale on Amazon, Cdiscount, and elsewhere.
    Best regards.
