CCM/WORD, hello,
Under Win10 Family 64 bits, and Word 2019
I have a little issue, when I copy and paste a part of web pages, sometimes the text is included in a colored box, and usually the text itself is in white (or different order).
The problem is that if I have notes to type right after the copy-paste, they end up being typed in the same color and in the same way as follows:
Appointment to be confirmed Monday morning (on my sheet the group of words is under "highlight or box." green, font in white)
Also, could you please let me know how I can revert to a normal typing like here and now, thank you in advance for your interest.
Alane.

Hi 000Alan,
I haven't used Word (or the Microsoft Office suite) for many years.
But to solve your problem, here are two methods.
Method 1
Word should offer a setting in its "Options" section that tells it whether to maintain or remove the web formatting of text that you copy/paste from the Internet. This option exists in LibreOffice Writer and is particularly useful when typing an email address in Word or Writer without wanting to keep the blue color and underlining.
Method 2
This involves purging text from the web by doing an intermediate copy/paste step.
- Open your "Notepad"
- Select the desired text from a web page
- Paste this text into your "Notepad"
- Press CTRL+S to save the text from Notepad
- Select the text again in Notepad
- Press CTRL+C to copy it
- Press CTRL+V to paste it into Word
With keyboard shortcuts, this goes quite fast.
The special formatting disappears when the text is placed in Notepad because it produces almost plain text.
Let us know if either of these two methods works as you wish.
Bye!

Hello.
It is likely that what is underlined is a hyperlink, in other words, an internet link. If that is the case, you can right-click on the underlined text and click on "Remove hyperlink." It also exists in Libre Office.
Best regards

Hello,
To avoid formatting issues when copying and pasting, I use the "Unicode text without formatting" function, which I access in Word through the "paste" menu in the ribbon or with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + V (the special paste shortcut).
I also use the ClipClip program, which allows me to do the same thing but additionally has a long clipboard history, avoiding back and forth between a clipboard page and Word where the paste happens.
Does this seem to address your issues?
