I'm trying to install my Wi-Fi but I get a message to turn off the wireless button on the computer. The F12 key remains on, and even if I press it, it stays on... what should I do to turn it off?

Hi,
try to keep the fn key pressed while you press the f12 key.
normally if it's lit, that means the wifi is working

what does the message "remove the wireless key" mean?

I tried pressing the fn key and F12 at the same time... but it didn't work. I even went into the BIOS... system configuration... keyboard key... and I disabled the function of the F1 to F12 keys... but it still didn't work.

The situation is as follows: I was given an old laptop and they removed all the files inside. The problem is when I want to install my Wi-Fi... I get a message telling me to remove the key on the top or on the side of the laptop or disable the wireless function. The only key that remains lit is F12... I have tried everything to disable it.

How do you try to install the Wi-Fi? Normally, you just need to install the driver, and I absolutely don't see why you would need to disable the Wi-Fi to install the Wi-Fi; that's not logical.

If the function keys don't work, you might need to install a driver to use them.

What is the exact model of the PC?
