Hello,
The printer works well from the tablet; it is connected via Wi-Fi to the box with an IP address. When I try to connect it to a desktop PC running W10, the driver says unavailable in Printers & Scanners when I click on the “+.” The same happens with the HP Smart application/software, which also says it can't find it.
Thank you for your help.

Hello,
It depends a bit on how your printer is connected to your computer... If I understand correctly, you want it to print from all your work or leisure stations, right?
-- This printer needs to be connected to your router, like a network printer, even via Wi-Fi... But the Wi-Fi from the router and not the direct Wi-Fi...
-- For example... you install it from Windows 10 (add) by stating that it is a network printer... I believe this installation is done while connected to the PC via USB cable... and when the Wi-Fi network is connected to the printer, you need to remove the USB cable... and finish the installation properly... then restart the PC...
-- and you print a test page... which goes through the Wi-Fi of your router from Win10 to the printer...
-- Your tablet application should be of the "ePrint" type or similar... you need to make it search again for your printer that you just installed, on the IP that you should know...
-- You should even be able to print from your smartphone when you are at the supermarket, for example...
Don't forget, it's the network concept that matters and not that of a printer connected to a single device.
