what's happening,
have you gone to the HP website to download the driver

it's possible that your printer is installed but not set as default

in the Windows search bar at the bottom of the taskbar, type control panel

if the display is in Category mode, look for the Hardware and Sound folder and click on View devices and printers

in case the control panel is in icon view
open the Devices and Printers folder

check if your printer is listed there
if yes, right-click on your printer and click on Set as default printer, a small green checkmark will appear on your printer

Thank you very much! I was in "communication" with HP on Messenger! The driver is installed but I couldn't finish because they close at 6 PM....

so you connect your printer with your USB cable, then go to the Devices and Printers manager and click on add a printer, and you follow the procedure
once it's done, make sure to set it as default as explained in a previous post

How come there are two inputs? On all printers, you have a male power plug to receive a female socket and a USB output that is practically square-shaped, and that's it.

So just yesterday I installed the same one, and if you look at the back you have the power outlet and a little higher, slightly to the right, you have the square USB output like any printer, and the HP Deskjet 2600 is no exception to this rule, even though it is Wifi.


Here’s the back of your printer, at the bottom center the power plug and the USB port marked with the arrow.

Hi,

I explained everything to you; you just need to connect a USB cable between the printer and the computer.
If you can't do it, consult a computer technician before doing anything silly.
