    Hello,
I quote you... "I want to flash the BIOS of the dv6 1225 sf..."
What reasons do you have for wanting to flash the BIOS?... Are you experiencing PC problems?

with the bios you advised me:
how can I make it bootable via usb or cd or dvd

also, my computer starts up simply, nothing on the screen
means I need to boot either with a usb key or a dvd or something

    thank you for your help

I may have expressed myself poorly
how to boot with a USB stick
    with your utility
    I tried with RUFUS
the latter wants an image file or ISO
    but what you advised me

    doesn't work

Have you downloaded the file ""HP Pavilion dv6-1225sf WinFlash v.F.18 Rev. driver" essential for flashing your BIOS?
      The file is named ""sp46500.exe"

RUFUS allows you to create your drive for the installation of Windows... https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/19615-rufus/

    yes, I downloaded them
but the file you recommended is an exe file,
    not image or iso files
with that we can't boot the computer

Stage 2 of the BIOS update configuration on a USB key... https://support.hp.com/ca-fr/document/c00131952
To read. There is absolutely no mention of an ISO or IMG (image) file to update the BIOS.

It seems that the program "sp46500.exe" only works on computers running the Microsoft Windows Vista environment.
Maybe that's the issue; which version of Windows are you using??
Otherwise, you should just need to double-click on the program "sp46500.exe" to launch it.

In your message 8, you said that you have successfully downloaded the file " sp46500.exe "
and you did not answer my question under which version of Windows are you??

    Hello,
I just disassembled my laptop, cleaned it, and put it back together.
    Now when I restart it with on/off + Windows logo + B
the caps lock LED and the number lock LED blink 2.2
which means they blink 2 times and then stop for 2 seconds and repeat.

When I restart normally by pressing a key, e.g., F1
it displays a message saying "system info"
and when I press enter, nothing happens.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello,
My boyfriend managed to get the laptop working
just like he repaired it with thermal shock
packed in plastic to work for 15 minutes
and then stop for 15 minutes and restart, the laptop starts as it should
can someone explain to me how to do the "thermal shock"?
    Please.
