Hello,
I recently acquired fiber in my apartment, so I wanted to switch to RJ45 for better speed.
I had the idea of running the RJ45 cable through the TV conduits since there is a TV socket where my box is and another one where I want to have an Ethernet socket.
My problem is that I can't find my TV splitter.
I checked in the technical room; only one cable goes from that room to my apartment.
I have already opened all the electrical panels in my apartment to see if the splitter was hidden there, but there was nothing.
PS: The building is 30 years old.
Thanks in advance,
Best regards,

Hello,
It's a good idea to install an Ethernet cable. But we, not knowing or seeing the installation and layout of the places, have little chance of helping you.
Besides saying that maybe the TV cable arrives at one of the 2 outlets and then extends to the second, so you might need to disassemble both TV sockets. If the splitter is in a wall between 2 drywall panels, we won't find it. I don't even know if a detector traces TV cables: https://www.amazon.fr/Bosch-Professional-0601010005-Scanner-Allemagne/dp/B002JUMB4C/
