IMPOSSIBLE to disable automatic startup of DISCORD on PC

Question

Hello,

I can't disable Discord's automatic launch at startup on my PC. It's unbearable. I followed the steps from https://support.discord.com/hc/fr/articles/211339918-Comment-d%C3%A9sactiver-le-lancement-automatique-au-d%C3%A9marrage-, and all the boxes were already correctly unchecked.

So in Windows / settings / apps / startup, Discord is not in the list.
In Task Manager / startup, Discord does not appear either.
In Discord / Windows settings, the first line for starting on login is indeed unchecked.

I don't know what else to do. Can you please help me?
It's really unbearable that it opens at every startup. Especially when the PC is used by other people in the household just to check emails.
So, I'm forced to uninstall Discord after every game and reinstall it before each game because it's annoying to see it pop up every time I start my PC.

Hi,

Have you checked in Msconfig if it is present?

=> Press Windows + R
=> Type msconfig and press enter
=> Go to the services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services
=> In the list that appears, see if Discord is present.
=> If so, uncheck it, restart the PC and see what happens

Hello,

=> Download SEAF

=> Launch it by right-clicking and selecting run as administrator

=> In the search bar, type discord

=> Check "search also in the registry" and start the search

=> A seaf.log file is created, post it HERE and include the link obtained in your response

If you have Windows 10, do this:

Create a restore point: http://www.chantal11.com/2017/04/creer-un-point-de-restauration-windows-10/

THEN:

--> In Cortana/search, type CMD
--> Right-click on Command Prompt and run as administrator
--> In the prompt, copy/paste (ctrl+c) and (ctrl+v) the entire bold line below

reg delete "HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1970820509-2036219489-1179000955-52886\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" /v "Discord" /f

=> Press the enter key, it should indicate Operation completed successfully
--> Restart the PC and see what happens

To disable Discord at startup, go to Discord, then to User Settings, then to Windows Settings, and uncheck Open Discord on startup.
