Hello everyone
I bought a 4G IP camera (ZILNK Chinese site) to set up in a place that doesn't have Wi-Fi. I successfully activated the camera on my smartphone via the Camhi app, and the image quality is really good
but when I turn off the Wi-Fi, it stops working
I can't do anything when it's offline
for the 4G, I have a duplicate SIM card with my 70 GB plan
At first, I thought it was related to the SIM password, but that doesn't change anything
if anyone has encountered this problem or has a solution, I'm all ears
thank you

Good evening,
It is essential that your camera is connected to a box, either via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, otherwise it will never work! Unless your camera operates on 4G.
4G is not at all Wi-Fi!!! So if you want it to work properly, you need to install a box near the camera.
Good luck with the rest. -
Hello
in this camera I have put a SIM card that is a duplicate of my subscription so it should work on 4G
It seems that it could be due to a poor 4G network?
Thank you -
Hello,
To test the 4G connection at the location where the camera is, you can download an app on your phone that allows these tests (like Speed test), or by looking at the number of 4G signal bars on your phone, and perform the test by placing your phone where your camera is.
For the 4G connection to the camera, did you activate the camera on your smartphone (through the camhi app) when you were connected to Wi-Fi with the camera? If so (and if the camhi app allows it), I recommend doing the same procedure again by disabling your phone's Wi-Fi, thus "forcing" the automatic recording of connection information via 4G (externally therefore). -
Hello,
I'm not really familiar with how these dual SIM cards work. But if I understand correctly, they are associated with the same phone number. This means that if the camera tries to connect to your phone, it's a bit like trying to call yourself.
I doubt that it would work.
I think it would be better for the camera to have an M2M SIM card. All ISPs provide this kind of card.
I believe you are with Orange. Check this out: https://www.carte-sim-m2m.com/shop

What is well conceived can be clearly stated,
And the words to say it arrive easily.

Hello, I already tried this kind of SIM card (reduced)
I had one for another alarm
but it doesn't work, there isn't enough data just for the tests, it blocked the card
it works better with a twin
otherwise I have activated camhi on Wi-Fi, it works well
when I turn off the Wi-Fi
now it connects but keeps changing (connecting/online)
I think it must be related to the 4G speed
I will try to download a speed test, I'll see
I'll keep you updated
thank you -
Hello, I did the speed test and it gives me this 5.74 4.90
I don't know if that's good or not
but the network issues we have at home wouldn't surprise me.
