Good evening,
You would need an application to read books in epub format.
I don't know Ardoiz, but if it's on Android, "you would have the" play store "to find the right app. -

Hello,
The transformation is not straightforward, although it is doable.
Dedicated reading applications are available for free online (Ebook Reader, Bookman, QuickReader, Kobo, etc.). These software generally offer the same features as an e-reader.
Tablet screens have a major drawback: they strain/irritate the eyes. Their LCD screen is backlit, while an e-reader relies on a technology called electronic ink.
Another disadvantage: the LCD screen consumes more power than an e-reader screen. A tablet's battery life does not exceed a few hours of reading, while an e-reader can last up to 30 days without needing a recharge. The ambient lighting reflects on the display/screen, so its contrast is proportional to the room's lighting and consumes nothing...
All of this explains the significant difference between an e-reader and a tablet. -
Yes, I think that after a certain period of time, if the screen is not suitable for long reading as you mentioned, it must be tiring.
It depends on the usage in question. Cooking recipe, novel, literature... -
Hello,
I don't know what can be done with this very simplified tablet intended for seniors (novices).
An app will need to be installed to turn the tablet into an e-reader. Since it is an Android tablet, we can hope there is access to the Google Play Store to download an application.
I recommend FBReader.

What is well conceived is clearly stated,
And the words to say it come easily.

Thank you all for your wise answers.
I think I won't attempt the transformation after all.
Have a great day everyone.
