Add spaces at the beginning of a line

Hello, and best wishes!

I'm making a list of several two-line paragraphs, where the first line is numbered but not using Word's numbering, just manually. One to two digits followed by an opening parenthesis and a space. I need FOUR spaces in front of the second line, but I can't seem to insert them. 'TAB' goes too far and I can't backtrack. Any suggestions? Thank you for your time!

    Good evening.
Use the stops of the horizontal rule: that's exactly what they're for...

Thank you. I have inserted blank spaces with alt+255.

    Hello

And above all, the negative withdrawal is made for that.
The automatic numbering is for that too, by the way.

For me, if I'm told that, it allows me to ask the questions I want.
