Hello,

I need help, since this morning my Acer Swift 1 is showing "No bootable device", so I've done some research and apparently I need to reset my BIOS, but when I tried to reset it I realized there was no option in the "boot" menu, so I can't choose anything, I don't know what to do, I'm a bit distressed because as a student and in lockdown, my computer is my only tool for work.

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

    Hello,
The phrase... "No bootable device" means in French "Aucun périphérique amorçable". So, it seems that your HDD/SSD (system drive) is messed up or dead.

I can't fix it alone then? Should I go see a repairman? Or is my computer dead? Because when I enter the "boot" tab, nothing appears, there should be something normally?

    Hello,

There are several models of ACER SWIFT 1 ===> for example: Acer Swift 1 SF114-32-P8FR

    For the DOC: https://www.acer.com/ac/fr/FR/content/support-product/7122?b=1

on the site, for Swift S30 10 I suppose it is similar..
    Here is what is written:
To set the boot sequence in the BIOS utility, activate the BIOS utility, then select Boot from the categories displayed on the left side of the screen.

So this is for helping to find the "Boot Device" in the BIOS... Normally, there should be an option to choose between HDD Hard Drive or USB Flash Disk or network PXE and the DVD for those who have it...

Given the message you receive at startup, I think your hard drive is no longer responding or is faulty... or the version of Windows it contains is corrupted... Not great...
Has this PC suffered any shocks..?? Is it being used intensively..?? With games..?? How old is it..??

I also think it's the hard drive; if I reset my PC, could it work again? It's about 2 years old and has already gone through a few things, but not recently. I only use it for work.
When I find the "boot," there's nothing, only a few things written: "boot priority order: " and below, nothing?? So I don’t know what to do.

Yes, I think so too, there is no more hard drive in the PC... it is no longer recognized... It's true that in two years, it's not much... If it doesn't quite have two years, it is still under warranty...

Depending on the model, these PCs do not have a HDD but SSD or flash memory, so there is almost no hope of recovering anything from it.
