Hello,

I installed Wampserver on my PC, running Windows 10 in 32-bit version, some time ago and it was working perfectly.

Today when I try to launch it, I can't; the green icon appears then disappears immediately with no error message.

I don't understand.

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hello,

There's little risk that the version of the OS (or WAMP) is causing your issue...
This is more likely a problem with the software configuration or a port that's already in use.
Have you made any changes to the Apache or PHP configuration files?
Have you installed any new software on your computer?

To start, you should check the WAMP error log files.
Generally, it's located at: C:\wamp\logs\error.log

Hello,
You indicate... "Windows 10 in 32..." Is it a 32-bit version?
In this regard, Microsoft is starting to phase out the 32-bit version... https://www.frandroid.com/culture-tech/os/windows/710796_windows-10-microsoft-commence-a-abandonner-la-version-32-bits

Well, when I installed Wamp, I tried the 64-bit version which wouldn’t install, so I opted for the 32-bit version. But indeed, I just checked and I do have a 64-bit system.

(Actually, I misspoke in my request; when I mentioned the 32-bit version, I was referring to the version of Wamp and not Windows, sorry.)

Do you think my problem could come from that, even though everything was working well before today?

I just installed the 64-bit version of Wamp and I’m getting the same message as the first time: the program failed to start correctly error 0xc000007b.

That’s why I opted for the 32-bit version of Wamp.

Hello, for the software I installed Gimp, Gimp plugins, and Photofiltre, but apparently WAMP was still working afterwards.

Where should I look for the error files?

The simplest thing would be to get rid of WAMP and use Laragon instead.
There are fewer problems with that one...

Sure, I actually use Wamp just for WordPress and I don't know Laragon at all.

Indeed, I've noticed that Wamp crashes often; I've had other issues with it, but after some research, updates, and a restart, everything works again like magic.

I'm happy I can get back to work.

Thank you very much, if it crashes again, I'll consider installing Laragon instead.

Have a great day!

I don't know how it works either. Maybe this tutorial... https://fr.tuto.com/php/gratuit-decouvrir-laragon-un-environnement-de-developpement-web-complet-sous-windows,142861.html will provide you with what you need!
