Canon MG 6650 disposable printer?

Question

Hello everyone, I have been a Canon MG 6650 printer owner for a few years now, and recently it has been indicating that the waste ink absorber is full. After cleaning it (without getting my fingers all dirty...), it still tells me to contact Canon service. I've searched online but couldn't find a way to remove this error message. A hard reset is impossible, so my question is: is there a way to reset everything since even the software doesn’t work on this printer model?
Is it good for recycling?

Unfortunately, manufacturers, not content with selling ink at caviar prices, try by all means to hold customers hostage. (chips in the cartridges, counter in the printer's chipset, etc...)
Moreover, occasional use of inkjet printers exposes you to the problem of ink drying in the nozzles, so you need to print regularly.
If your budget allows, turn to laser or thermal sublimation, which are certainly more expensive to buy but more cost-effective (in my humble opinion) in use...
I bought a second-hand Xerox Phaser 840 with solid ink... it's been working for me for 15 years!!

Hello,
open the printer's lid when the carriage containing the cartridges is on the left, unplug your printer from the power source, remove the ink absorber (the black rubber parts containing the pads), carefully clean the pads, let them dry, then replace the absorbers in the printer, close the printer, hold down the printer's power button and plug the printer back into the power source until the printer is functional (carriage on the right) and the power button is steady, turn off the printer, then press and immediately release the power button; it should blink for a few seconds and then become steady again. Normally the printer should be working properly again.
