Hello,
I have a soundbar connected to a set-top box, no problem, we can no longer hear the miserable sound of the TV, so far so good.
Then, I have a Chromecast connected to the TV where I stream series via my iPhone with an application (web video caster), but since this is independent of the box, the sound does not go through the soundbar but through the TV.
However, I managed to configure the Bluetooth of my soundbar to my iPhone. But the problem is as follows:
When I want to cast, I have to select a device, and I choose the "Chromecast," BUT I noticed that the sound coming from the soundbar is simply non-existent, leaving the horrible sound of the TV.
If I want to activate it, I have to change the device to "AirPlay on Apple TV," and then I have sound on the soundbar, but no image... ????♀️
Is there a way to be able to associate these 2 devices at the same time? I see nothing in the settings of the casting application or in the Google Home app.
I hope this is clear enough, sorry I don't really know much about this, feel free to ask me questions for more information if necessary.
Thank you. ????
Configuration: iPhone / Safari 13.1.2

Hello,
I have roughly the same problem; I have a ChromeCast connected to my TV for video that comes from my computer via an Orange box, since I don’t have any antennas at home!
My TV is quite old since it doesn't have built-in TNT, it's a flat screen and has an optical cable output.
I just bought a soundbar with an integrated ChromeCast, connected to the TV via optical cable, but although both are on the same Wi-Fi network and in the same house in the Google Home app, the two won’t pair and operate independently!
One is for video and the other is for audio in Google Home.
Is this normal? Can anyone respond?
I have searched everywhere for a solution and have done quite a few tests, but nothing works!
Is it really possible to pair the two, or is this feature only available with newer generation TVs?
Thank you for any future response.
