Hello
I currently have a Chromecast on my Thomson TV, which only uses stereo sound. When I cast content from Netflix, I need to set the sound to stereo in order to hear it, but I don’t have this issue with Mycanal.
However, since I also have the Disney+ platform, I can’t get any sound when casting something. There’s no stereo setting available from the app, so I have to use HDMI (which is useful when you have a Chromecast). I would like to find a solution to this problem if possible.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello, I'm experiencing the same issue and after discussing it at length with Disney+ support (first they told me that sound detection was automatic on Disney+, then they said the problem was due to my TV's incompatibility, which is a SONY and works perfectly with Netflix via Chromecast), it turns out that the programs are only available in 5.1 (if you check the details on each title, it indicates the supported audio type and personally, I haven't found any available in stereo). They are forwarding the reports to the relevant department... maybe a future update will allow us to enjoy Disney+ programs, but in the meantime, it doesn't seem to bother them much that a customer has no sound...
Through the Google Home app, I go to the icon of my Chromecast
at the top right, I click on the gear to access the settings
In the sound options, 5.1 is offered by default, but you can modify it and select stereo only.
We confirm, and voila, the sound now comes out on my TV or my projector!!!! YES !!!!!!
I hope this helps you, I've been looking for help for 10 years, and it's the first time I've managed to fix something unknown to other internet users!!! Enjoy!
